  • This is the rate for SFPE-RMC "Members" and "Chapter Friend Members" to attend this meeting.
  • This is the rate for attendees who are not members of SFPE-RMC. [Note that membership in the Chapter is only $25 for the year ($15 for SFPE organization members). If you plan to attend more than one Chapter meeting, Chapter Membership pays for itself quickly!]
  • This registration type is for pre-paid "Chapter Friends" or "Chapter Members" who prepaid for all meetings with their membership payment for the year.
  • College-aged students who are currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program, who are interested in the profession of Fire Protection Engineering.

Water Mist Fire Protection

 

Program Overview: High Pressure Water Mist Technology – History, Applications, Design and Direction.  Focusing on the most frequent applications and  discuss advanced protection methodologies.

 

Presenter:  Allan Rhodes, Director, Western Region, Marioff North America

 

 Mr. Rhodes has over 35 years of experience in the fire protection industry. He has served on numerous NFPA code standards and is currently a member of the NFPA 750 – the design and installation Standard for Water Mist Fire Protection Systems. Mr. Rhodes has been in his current position with Marioff for eleven years and has been instrumental in the acceptance and adoption of high pressure water mist technology in aerospace, defense, telecommunications, bio-tech / pharmaceutical, data center, health care, transportation and municipal utilities markets. Prior to joining Marioff, Mr. Rhodes worked for Duke Energy as a senior project manager responsible for the asset protection of steam, hydro and gas turbines.  Mr. Rhodes has also held positions with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Department of Energy Richland Washington Field Operation Office as a fire protection engineer with oversight responsibilities for fire protection of various accelerator and reactor operation groups
