Membership

The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) is approximately 80 members strong, and growing!  You do not need to be a member of the international SFPE association/organization, nor do you need to be an Engineer, to be a member of our local Chapter.

Join the SFPE Rocky Mountain Chapter today and take advantage of the many unique benefits and opportunities that Chapter membership has to offer.

The SFPE Rocky Mountain Chapter was formed by a few dedicated people in October 1983, and became an internationally recognized Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) on October 22, 1984.  The membership consists of people from many diverse careers in the field of fire protection and lifesafety engineering.  The Chapter thrives on the participation and dedication of all members.

The Chapter meets on the second Wednesday of each month, except during the months of June, July, and August.  The meetings are usually business-meeting luncheons, with one or two social events held during the year in the evenings.  At each of the meetings there is a guest speaker who will provide a focus on new and changing developments that affect fire protection and lifesafety engineering.

Also, the Chapter distributes relevant articles, upcoming events, job postings, and bits of information covering the latest happenings in the world of fire protection and lifesafety engineering to its members.  Members may share something with the membership by sending an email to the Chapter Secretary.  Information shared with the membership should be relevant to the profession and appropriate for distribution to the membership.  Any distribution via the Chapter is at the sole discretion of the Chapter Board and its Bylaws.
