HISTORY

The Rocky Mountain Chapter was formed by a few dedicated people in October, 1983, and became a recognized Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) on October 22, 1984.  The Chapter membership consists of people from many diverse careers in the field of fire protection lifesafety engineering.  The Chapter thrives on the participation and dedication of all members and guests.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Chapter holds meetings monthly throughout the year, except during the months of June, July, and August.  The meetings are usually business-meeting luncheons, with one or two social events held in the evenings.  At each of the meetings there is a guest speaker who will provide a focus on new and changing developments that affect fire protection.

Also the Chapter distributes relevant articles, upcoming events, job postings, and bits of information covering the latest happenings in the world of Fire Protection Engineering.  This information is distributed by the Chapter Secretary.  To add yourself to the email distribution list, or to share something with the membership, please send an email to the Chapter Secretary.  Information shared with the membership should be relevant to the profession and appropriate for distribution to the membership.  Any distribution via the Chapter is at the sole discretion of the Chapter Board.
